1 Cup thickened cream

1 Cup lemonade

3 Cups self-raising flour

Plain flour

Butter (for greasing the tray)

M&Ms (feel free to experiment with the colours! For an Autumnal theme, use red, yellow, orange and brown M&Ms).

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 220°C and lightly grease and flour a baking tray.

  2. Sift the self-raising flour into a large bowl. Pour in the cream and lemonade and mix into a soft dough.

  3. Add M&Ms and gently stir through.

  4. Scrape the dough onto a floured surface. Rub some flour onto your hands and lightly knead the dough, pressing it into a disc around 3cm thick.

  5. Using a round cutter, cut the dough and place scones onto the tray.

  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are browned.

  7. Serve with jam and cream and enjoy!
