If your family is anything like my family, they like to drink coffee. And not that instant stuff, they like to use coffee grounds, be it in the form of coffee pods or a percolator. So in the spirit of "waste not, want not" here's a lovely little recipe that you can make with your family's leftover coffee grounds after their morning cup of coffee.

You will need:

1/2 cup coffee grounds

1/2 cup sugar or salt (take your pick)

1/4 cup coconut oil

1 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp vanilla extract

1) First of all melt your coconut oil (about 30-40 seconds in a microwave) and allow it to cool (but not solidify!)

2) While your coconut oil is cooling, mix together all other ingredients in a bowl.

3) Once the oil has cooled, combine with the rest of you ingredients and store in an airtight container or mason jar.

4) Use 1-2 times a week (or every day if you like) to give your skin a treat!

Did You Know:

Your skin is the largest organ in our body and it absorbs 60%-80% of what it comes in contact with. What you put on your skin matters.

Did You Know:

Coffee and coconut oil are rich in antioxidants, which are very good for your skin. You might find that this scrub will firm and smooth your skin.
